Responsibilities

About the role

As a Trainee Technician, you'll gain practical experience maintaining and repairing material handling equipment while learning from experienced professionals. Through structured on-the-job training, you'll develop the technical skills, safety mindset, and problem-solving abilities needed to support efficient operations across our client sites.

What you'll do

· Learn to inspect, diagnose, maintain, and repair material handling equipment.

· Support preventive and corrective maintenance activities under the guidance of experienced technicians.

· Assist with troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.

· Perform routine equipment inspections and accurately document maintenance activities.

· Follow established safety procedures and engineering standards during all maintenance activities.

· Work collaboratively with technicians and operations teams to minimise equipment downtime.

· Continuously develop your technical knowledge through training and hands-on experience.

Requirements

What we're looking for

We're looking for individuals who have:

· A minimum of (2) years of relevant experience as technical personnel in the material handling equipment industry.

· Trade Test, National Diploma (ND), Higher National Diploma (HND), or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical discipline.

· A genuine passion for engineering, maintenance, and problem-solving.

· A willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced operational environment.

· Strong communication and teamwork skills.

· A proactive attitude with a commitment to continuous improvement.

· A strong commitment to safety and quality.
