Responsibilities

About the role

As a Junior Technician, you'll work alongside experienced technicians to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair material handling equipment across our client sites. You'll apply your technical knowledge to routine maintenance and breakdown support while continuing to develop your diagnostic and problem-solving capabilities.

This role offers an opportunity to build on your foundational technical experience, take greater ownership of maintenance activities, and grow into a highly capable material handling technician.

What you'll do

Perform routine preventive and corrective maintenance on material handling equipment.
Inspect equipment and identify mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, or other technical faults.
Support the diagnosis and resolution of equipment breakdowns under the guidance of Senior Technicians.
Carry out repairs, adjustments, and component replacements in accordance with established procedures.
Conduct equipment inspections and ensure maintenance activities are properly documented.
Escalate complex technical issues and recurring equipment faults to the Senior Technician.
Follow established engineering, safety, and quality standards during all maintenance activities.
Work collaboratively with the site team to minimise equipment downtime and support seamless client operations.
Participate in technical training and continuously develop knowledge of material handling equipment and maintenance practices.

What we're looking for

We're looking for individuals who have:

A minimum of (3) years of relevant experience as technical personnel in the material handling equipment industry.
An ND, HND, or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical discipline.
Practical experience in equipment maintenance, preferably within material handling, industrial, manufacturing, logistics, or a related environment.
Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, or electronic systems.
The ability to troubleshoot equipment issues and apply practical problem-solving skills.
A willingness to learn, take responsibility, and develop technical expertise.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
A strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
