We're looking for an experienced Senior Technician to provide technical leadership on site, drive equipment reliability, and support a team of technicians in delivering safe, efficient, and high-quality maintenance services.

Responsibilities

About the role

As a Senior Technician, you'll serve as the technical lead on site, overseeing maintenance activities and providing guidance to Junior and Trainee Technicians. You'll take ownership of complex troubleshooting and repairs, support equipment reliability, and work closely with the Site team and clients to ensure technical issues are resolved effectively and efficiently.

You'll combine strong technical expertise with leadership, problem-solving, and customer focus to keep equipment performing reliably and deliver an exceptional client experience.

What you'll do

Lead and coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance activities across assigned equipment.
Diagnose and resolve complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and electronic equipment faults.
Provide technical guidance, coaching, and on-the-job development to Junior and Trainee Technicians.
Review equipment conditions and identify recurring faults, maintenance risks, and opportunities for improvement.
Ensure maintenance activities are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with established engineering standards.
Support effective breakdown response and minimise equipment downtime across the site.
Maintain accurate maintenance records, service reports, and technical documentation.
Escalate significant technical issues and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
Collaborate with clients and internal teams to understand operational requirements and provide effective technical solutions.
Support the implementation of preventive maintenance strategies and continuous improvement initiatives.
Ensure tools, equipment, and spare parts are properly maintained and used appropriately.
Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with Bisedge and client HSE requirements.

What we're looking for

We're looking for an experienced technical professional who has:

Over 4 years of relevant experience as technical personnel in the material handling equipment industry
An HND, Bachelor's degree, or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical discipline.
Proven experience maintaining and troubleshooting material handling equipment or similar industrial equipment.
Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and electronic systems.
Demonstrated ability to diagnose complex equipment faults and implement effective solutions.
Experience providing technical guidance, coaching, or supervision to other technicians.
Strong planning, problem-solving, communication, and reporting skills.
The ability to work effectively with clients and internal stakeholders.
A strong commitment to safety, customer service, and continuous improvement.
