The Reach Truck Operator is responsible for safely operating a reach truck (forklift) to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise within the warehouse or storage facility. The operator will also be required to load and unload trucks, ensure inventory is correctly stored, and follow safety protocols at all times. This role is key to maintaining efficient warehouse operations and supporting inventory management.

Responsibilities

Safely operate a reach truck to move goods within the warehouse and loading dock areas.
Load and unload shipments from delivery trucks and store them in appropriate locations.
Ensure accurate placement and storage of goods in designated warehouse shelves or bins.
Perform regular checks and maintenance on reach truck equipment, reporting any issues to the Warehouse Supervisor.
Maintain proper organization and cleanliness of the warehouse, following company guidelines for inventory storage.
Assist in the preparation and execution of inventory counts, including conducting periodic stock checks.
Follow all safety guidelines and procedures, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure efficient and timely order fulfillment.
Help ensure warehouse operations meet productivity and quality standards.
Ensure that all goods handled are undamaged and stored securely.
Complete necessary documentation and logs related to inventory movement and equipment use.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
1-2years of experience in warehouse operations or material handling.
Valid reach truck/forklift certification (required).
Basic understanding of warehouse operations and inventory management.
Familiarity with warehouse safety standards and regulations.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
