The Import/Export and Inbound Logistics Lead will be responsible for overseeing and managing the international shipping and receiving operations, ensuring compliance with all customs regulations, and optimizing the movement of goods across borders. This role will work closely with suppliers, customers, logistics providers, banks, and government agencies to ensure timely, cost-effective, and legally compliant import/export activities.

Responsibilities

 Coordinate and manage all import and export activities including documentation, shipments, and customs clearance.

 Oversee transportation and warehousing strategies for international shipments

 Negotiate shipping rates and terms with freight forwarders, carriers, and other logistics partners.

 Process form MS and PAAR with ADBs or all international shipments

 Ensure compliance with customs laws, import/export regulations, and international trade agreements.

 Prepare and manage import/export documentation, such as bills of lading, invoices, certificates of origin, and packing lists, SONCAP certificate, PCR etc.

 Monitor and stay updated on changes in trade regulations, CET tariffs, HS Codes and customs requirements.

 Ensure proper filing and timely submission of all Exchange Control Documents (ECDs).

 Work closely with the procurement team, aftersales team, sales team, project team and warehouse teams to ensure timely deliveries and optimal stock levels.

 Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, shipping companies, customs authorities and banks.

 Troubleshoot any shipping issues such as delays, damage, or non-compliance with customs procedures.

 Address and resolve any import/export-related disputes or problems efficiently

 Maintain accurate and organized records of all import/export activities and transactions.

 Prepare regular reports on shipping costs, timelines, inventory levels, and any issues encountered during the shipping process.

 Analyze and minimize transportation costs while optimizing service levels.

Identify opportunities for process improvements that enhance efficiency and reduce costs.

Requirements

 Bachelor’s degree in international business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field. (Preferred)

 At least 3 years of experience in import/export management or international logistics.

 Strong understanding of international trade laws, customs regulations, and shipping documentation.

 Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.

 Strong communication and negotiation skills.

 Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and logistics software or ERP.

 Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy.

 Data analytics.

 Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

 Willingness to travel internationally as needed.

 Knowledge of Incoterms and international shipping practices.

Work from the office at a minimum of 3 x in a week.
