Senior Technician

●       To coordinate various categories of maintenance activities including daily inspection, preventive, corrective and proactive maintenance of all forklifts, reach trucks and other related equipment.

●       Lead routine inspections of all forklifts and other material handling equipment to minimize breakdown and loss of resources.

●       Effective and efficient troubleshooting of all equipment failure to timely restore them to default standard status.

●       To ensure repair of equipment failure are carried out within the standard timeframe while keeping to the established standard operating procedures.

●       Track end-to-end operations of all operational traction batteries including charging cycles, usage cycles and standard battery maintenance with effective cleaning.

●       Drive accurate recording and prompt reporting of all battery charging cycles and usage cycles data daily to keep track of battery performance.

●       To ensure all materials handling equipment are maintained in their manufacturer standards while taking care of any identified defects promptly.

●       Coordinate overall safety inspection of forklifts, reach trucks and other related equipment after repair and maintenance prior to being released back into operations.

●       Ensure the use of available fleet management system for ends-to-ends technical operations of all the materials handling equipment.

●       Monitor the implementation of safe and standard handling techniques of all the parts and components of forklifts during repair and maintenance to eliminate damage and consequential failure leading to loss of resources.

●       Coordinate hygienic, clean, and tidy work environment including workshop, battery bay and technical office.

Prompt and accurate reporting of preventive, corrective, proactive and breakdown maintenance as well as any other operational and technical activities.

• BEng, BTech or HND in Electrical, Mechanical, or other related Engineering discipline
• A minimum of five (5) years in material handling equipment industry as technical personnel.
• A very good operational and technical knowledge of various categories of battery-powered material handling equipment is a major advantage.
• Must have managed substantial team of technical personnel and equipment for not less than three (3) years.
• Experience in interpretation of electrical and mechanical schematics.
• Good knowledge of fleet management system
